West Lincoln senior guard Jamie Sisco pumped in a game-high 25points to lead the host Bears to a 73-60 Division 7-1A win over theSt. Joseph Bruins of Madison Friday night. Sisco also collected sixrebounds, made two steals and had six assists.

In the girls game, sophomore guard Dana King fired in 19 pointsto spark the Lady Bears to a 51-36 victory over the Lady Bruins.King also made five steals and had two assists.

West Lincoln 73, St. Joseph 60

The Bears (7-3, 2-1) charged out in the first quarterfor a 21-11 lead over the Bruins. At the half, West Lincolncommanded a 40-26 lead.

“The boys played real good,” said West Lincoln boyscoach Jason Case. “They played as a team.”

Contributing to the Bears win with 20 points, includingfour 3-pointers, was Cody Mitchell. Carlos Johnson led off thebackboards with seven rebounds. Adam Rushing made two steals andhad six assists.

Clint Luckett directed St. Joseph with 21points.

West Lincoln 51, St. Joseph 36

The Lady Bears (3-7, 2-0) led the Lady Bruins 15-7 atthe end of the first quarter and 22-15 at halftime. Going into thefinal frame, West Lincoln held a 33-26 lead.

“Our girls played hard,” said Coach Case. “In the lastquarter, we played good enough to win the ball game.”

Holli Bass added support to the Lady Bears win with 11points. Tops off the backboards with 10 rebounds was Hannah Payne.Making nine steals was Chastity Avants.

Leading St. Joseph with 16 points was Kar KayHolden.

Junior High Results

In the junior high girls game, West Lincoln clipped St.Joseph 38-29. Kayla Shaw paced West Lincoln with 15 points. LyndsayFranklin followed with six points.

Sue Haying had 14 points for St. Joseph. Rebecca Smithfinished with eight points.

West Lincoln will host Wesson for three games Tuesdaynight. The junior varsity girls begin play at 5 p.m.
