Services for Joseph H. “Joey” Waldrop, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.today, April 17, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inHolly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today from 8 a.m. until the time of theservice at the funeral home.
Mr. Waldrop, 42, died April 14, 2006 at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on May 14, 1963, to JessieWaldrop and Gilda Faye Albritton Thornhill.
He was a former oil field worker. He was a member of Fair RiverBaptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his father; his stepfather, ClaudeH. Thornhill Sr.; and his brother-in-law, Philip Ivy.
Survivors are his mother, Gilda Faye Thornhill, of Brookhaven;his wife, Karen Waldrop, of Brookhaven; his son, Lance Waldrop, ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Laura Waldrop, of Brookhaven; hisbrothers, Jeff Waldrop and wife Beth, of Clinton, David Waldrop andwife Cindy, of Clinton, Jessie W. Waldrop and wife Jeanie, ofBrookhaven, Claude E. Thornhill and wife, Misti, of Brookhaven,Jonas Thornhill, of Ocean Springs, and Claude H. Thornhill Jr., ofBiloxi; his sisters, Judy Griffin and husband Mike, of Hazlehurst,Laura Hitchner and husband Kevin, of Goldsboro, N.C., Martha Leaand husband Charles H. of Brookhaven, Claudette Moore and husbandMartin, of Brookhaven; his stepbrother, Bobby Thornhill and wifeGlenda, of Brookhaven; his stepsister, Claudine Pennington andhusband John, of Brookhaven; his mother- and father-in-law, MaryIvy and Robert Ivy, of Nola; his sister-in-law, Michele Ivy, ofLaurel; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews,uncles and aunts.
