Services for Laurie Helen Felder, of Summit, will be held at10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Felder’s United Methodist Churchwith burial in Felder’s Campground Cemetery. The Rev. CharlesBrister and the Rev. Fred Gerber will officiate. Catchings FuneralHome in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of thefuneral.

Mrs. Felder, 89, died Dec. 9, 2007, at McComb Extended Care andNursing Home. She was born in Franklin County on Jan. 26, 1918, toCalvin Terry and Mable Carruth Terry.

She was a member of Felder’s United Methodist Church, where shewas very active as long as her health permitted. She was organistfor many years and served on various committees. She was also amember of the UMW and taught Sunday school.

Mrs. Felder was a true homemaker. She was a member of the SummitGarden Club, the Pike County Arts Council and was one of thefounders of the Ceramic Guild, having won numerous honors at localand state levels. She was best known for her porcelain nativitysets, which she donated for fundraisers at charitable events. Anavid quilter and artist, she left her family many beautiful quiltsand paintings.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband of 45years, Hugh Robert Felder Sr.; her son. Hugh Robert “Bud” FelderJr.; her sisters, Bobbye Ward, Mable Claire Martin, Dorothy McMurryand Mary Ethel Terry.

Survivors are her sons, Carl R. Felder and wife, Bobbie, ofSummit, John Henry Felder, of Evergreen, La.; her daughter, Ouida”Barbara” Felder, of Wesson; her sisters, Gene Fenn and husband,Johnny, of Summit, and Sarah Hancock, of Lumberton; hergrandchildren, Carla Byrd and husband, Kevin, of Brookhaven, BenFelder and wife, Karen, of Summit, and Jody Felder, of Evergreen;her great-grandchildren, Will Byrd, Matt Byrd and Alexis Byrd, allof Brookhaven, and Nicholas Felder and Haley Felder, both ofSummit.

Pallbearers are Robin Fenn, Reggie Fenn, Jimmy Ward, JohnnyMartin, Rickey Felder and James Twiner.

Honorary pallbearers are Ben Felder, Jody Felder and KevinByrd.
