Funeral services for Royce Nelbert Shiel, of Brookhaven, were 10a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Mission Hill Baptist Church in Wesson,with burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Shiel, 78, died Aug. 22, 2010, at his residence. He was born inMississippi on March 30, 1932, to George Shiel and Naomi SmithartShiel.

He was a retired tool pusher with Noble Drilling. He was a memberof Mission Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the UnitedStates Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his daughter, MaryConstance Shiel; and his son, Royce Edward Shiel.

Survivors are his wife, Gearldene Shiel; his stepsons, Danny Wyles,of Millington, Tenn., John Wyles, of Monticello, and Stephen Wyles,of Fort Worth, Texas; his sisters, Myra Martin, of Jackson, andIndia Baker, of Jacksonville, Fla.; his granddaughter, LanaWilliams Schultz and husband, Edward, of St. Joseph, Ill.; and 14stepgrandchildren.
