Board renews contracts for school leaders

The Lincoln County School Board reinstated administrators forthe next school year during a meeting of the trustees Monday.

School principals and a few central office personnel wereapproved for the 2006-2007 year. Board members briefly discussedapproving salaries of the administrators, but tabled the matteruntil the next meeting.

“Salaries will come at a later date,” said Superintendent TerryBrister. “They want to look at it first.”

Following the board’s approval, Bogue Chitto Attendance CenterPrincipal Bill McGehee will lead his school for the second yearwhile Enterprise Attendance Center Principal Shannon Eubanks andLoyd Star Attendance Center Principal Wayne Rogers will enter theirthird years in the schools’ leadership roles. West LincolnAttendance Center Principal Jason Case enters his sixth year in theposition.

In the central office, Assistant Superintendent Letha Presleyhas 12 years in her position.

Curriculum Director Richelle Ratcliff and Testing andTransportation Director Bruce Falvey will enter their second yearin their respective positions.

Ratcliff was an assistant principal at Loyd Star for two yearsbefore moving to the central office. Falvey was the principal atEnterprise for 12 years before his move.

School officials had until March 1 to meet a state-mandateddeadline to approve school administrators.
