Services for Evelyn Hoover, of Bay St. Louis, are 3 p.m. Sunday,Sept. 11, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel with burial in MidwayCemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Hoover, 85, died Sept. 7, 2005, at Jeff Anderson RegionalMedical Center in Meridian. She was born in Franklin County on Feb.10, 1920, to Cleve Dickens and Georgia King Dickens.

She was a homemaker. She was active in the Franklin CountyWomen’s Club for many years and was an organizer of the LiteraryBook Review Club of Meadville. She was a member of MeadvilleBaptist Church where she was an active member of the W.M.U. She wasa resident of Franklin County from 1950 until 1999 when she movedto Bay St. Louis.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LavonHoover; a daughter, Janie Hoover Smith; and two sisters.

Survivors are her daughters, Cathy White, of New Orleans, andJune True and Lindy O’Neill, both of Gulfport; her granddaughter,Ashley True, of Gulfport; her sister-in-law, Joyce Hoover, ofPrentiss; and Dixie Bell.
