Elizabeth Locklear

Services for Elizabeth Locklear of Natchez are 1:30 p.m.,Saturday, Sept. 23, at Laird Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 22, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Locklear, 76, died Sept. 20, 2000, at St. Dominic’sHospital in Jackson. She was born in Jacksonville, Fla., on March25, 1924, to Henry J. and Essie Blanton Thompson. She traveledextensively with her husband and family in the Air Force and hadrecently returned to make Natchez her home.

She was a member of Dalraida Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala.,a former member of First Baptist Church in Natchez, and a member ofMrs. Pyron’s Sunday school class.

Survivors are her husband, William O. Locklear of Natchez; herdaughters, Judy Van Nest of St. George, Utah, Debra Locklear ofOrlando, Fla., Susan Graning of Brookhaven, and Sharon Bauer ofZeeland, Mich.; her son, John Locklear of Niceville, Fla.; andeight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
