Services for Mary Jo Buckley Shanahan, of Hazlehurst, are 2 p.m.Thursday, Sept. 10, at Westside Baptist Church in Hazlehurst withburial in Gallman Cemetery. Community Funeral Services is in chargeof arrangements.

Mrs. Shanahan, 62, died Sept. 8, 2009. She was born inHazlehurst on Feb. 3, 1947, to Joe Buckley and Beatrice Duffy.

She was a graduate of Central High School. She was a member ofDaniel Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Jimmy R.Shanahan Sr.; and a son, Jimmy R. Shanahan Jr.

Survivors are her sons, Joe Shanahan, Jeff Shanahan and JeremyShanahan; a daughter, Sommer Erwin; and her 10 grandchildren.
