BOGUE CHITTO — Looks are deceiving.
Bogue Chitto’s James Anderson isn’t cut from the standardfootball player mold. He plays much larger than his 5-foot-6,137-pound physical stature would indicate.
Recognized as one of the best tacklers on Bogue Chitto’sdefense, Anderson was credited with 12 tackles in last Friday’sroad win over Stringer. For his performance, Anderson has beenselected The DAILY LEADER’s Defensive Player of the Week.
Anderson, a sophomore, plays strong safety or rover back for theundefeated Bobcats who have forged a 6-0 record this season. BogueChitto will host another unbeaten, the Puckett Wolves, Friday nightin a Region 4-1A showdown. Kickoff is 7 p.m. on Troy SmithField.
Bogue Chitto coach Gareth Sartin said Anderson is an aggressiveplayer with a hard-nosed attitude. “James is a very aggressiveplayer. He’s fearless. He’s not scared of anyone, no matter whattheir size. He’s a very sure tackler in the open field.
