Graveside services for Herbert B. McGuffee of Jackson were 2p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, in Lakewood Memorial Park. Wright andFerguson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. McGuffee, 76, died Sept. 15, 2002, at Lakeland Health CareCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on Dec. 11, 1925, to the lateHerbert and Lillie McGuffee.

He was owner of Herbert B. McGuffee, Inc., a carpet and draperywholesale company. He was an Air Force veteran. He was a Methodist.He was a longtime resident of Jackson. He was a graduate of theUniversity of Mississippi with a degree in business.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Mary George McCarty McGuffee of Jackson;his daughter, Kay Elizabeth McGuffee of Ocean Springs; and hissister, Joyce Scott of Jackson.
