Services for Lula Polk Speights of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial inArm Cemetery in Lawrence County.

Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Speights, 92, died Aug. 3, 2003, at Beverly Health Care.She was born in Jeff Davis County on Nov. 2, 1910, to Mark A. Polkand Mattie Myers Polk.

She was a retired merchant.

Preceding her in death were parents; her husband of 54 years,Joe S. Speights; her sisters, Myrtle Bourn, Oma Speights and RuthParkman; and her granddaughter, Betsy Ann Speights.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, F. Joe and FrancesSpeights of Brookhaven; her granddaughter and husband, Pamela andJoel Harrison of Meridian; her grandson and wife, Scott and SharonSpeights of Wesson; her great-granddaughters, Laura Jill Speightsand Anna Frances Speights, both of Wesson; and her great-grandson,Luke Harrison of Meridian.
