(Rayford) Daniel Beard, 79, passed away Oct. 28, 2012, at St. Dominic Hospital. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with burial at Rocky Hill Cemetery.

     Mr. Beard was a native of Wesson. He had lived in Copiah County all of his life. He was a retired truck driver and a mechanic. He enjoyed visiting with his friends. All of his grandchildren were special to him.

     Mr. Beard was preceded in death by his wife, Wynell Britt Beard, two sons and a sister.

      He is survived by son, Jerry Beard of Crystal Springs; daughter, Sharon Morgan (Ronnie) of Hazlehurst; sister, Hilda West of Brookhaven; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
