Services for Larry D. Scott, of Chicago, Ill., were 1 p.m.Saturday, July 5, at Zion Chapel A.M.E. Church in Caseyville withburial in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Williams Mortuary was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Scott, 54, died July 1, 2008, in Chicago. He was born inBrookhaven on March 3, 1954, to Lamar Scott Sr. and HazelScott.

He was a graduate of Wendell Phillips High School in Chicago andattended Whitewater College. He was employed as a pipefitter formore than 25 years through Pipefitters Union Local 595. He was amember of First Baptist Church in Chicago.

Preceding him in death were his father, Lamar Scott Sr.; and hisbrother, Lamar Scott Jr.

Survivors are his mother, Hazel Scott, of Chicago; his son,Emmanuel Stokes; his brother, Roger Scott; his sister, Linda Okupe;two nieces; three nephews; and many aunts, uncles and otherrelatives.
