Mandy Alexander
Services for Mandy Alexander of Sontag are 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec.31, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Sontag with burial in the churchcemetery.
Visitation is Saturday, Dec. 30, from noon until 8 p.m., withfamily hour from 7-8 p.m., at Williams Mortuary.
Mrs. Alexander, 87, died Dec. 28, 2000, at Central MississippiMedical Center. She was born in Copiah County on Jan. 9, 1913, toWilliam Tillman and Luberta Williams Tillman.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Zion M.B.Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, McKinleyAlexander Sr.; and two sons, two daughters, six brothers, and foursisters.
Survivors are her sons, Johnnie Alexander, C. J. Alexander,James Earl Alexander, Willie Fred Alexander, and Curtis Alexander,all of Sontag, McKinley Alexander Jr. of Jackson, and EffortAlexander of Memphis; her daughters, Mildred Thomas of Sontag,Victoria Reed of Hazlehurst, Lucille Jones of Greensboro, N.C.,Betty Lassiter of Savannah, Ga., and Angeline Brand of Urban,Texas; her adopted sons, Jimmy Alexander of New York City, AnthonyAlexander of Tinley Park, Ill., and Johnny Alexander of Brooklyn,N.Y.; and 51 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and fourgreat-great-grandchildren.
