Mrs. Davis, 84, died Jan. 20, 2004, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born on Sept. 22, 1919.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors are her husband of 61 years, James Phil Davis ofJackson; her daughter, Phyllis Davis Adsit of Dallas, Texas; hersons, James Ronald Davis of Chalmette, La., Allen E. Davis ofWesson, and Randy Wayne Davis of Sandhill; her brothers, Phil W.Davis and Bernice Davis, both of Meridian; four grandchildren; andfour great-grandchildren.

Marcus Eugene Hudgins

Services for Marcus Eugene Hudgins of Jackson are 12:30 p.m.,Friday, Jan. 23, at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home with burialin Lakewood South Cemetery.

Mr. Hudgins, 80, died Jan. 21, 2004, at Central MississippiMedical Center.

He was retired from the Mississippi State Highway Departmentafter 38 years. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Loyce Hudgins of Jackson; his sons,Donald Craig Hudgins of Jackson, and Markel Burnett Hudgins ofMissouri city, Texas; his sisters, Mary Calhoun of Jackson, FrancesGunter of Ocean Springs, Patricia Blaine of Warner Robbins, Ga.,and Margaret Bowie of Meadville; and his brothers, Claude Hudginsand Willie Fred Hudgins, both of Jackson, Robert Hudgins ofKosciusko, Sam Hudgins of Brookhaven, and Paul Hudgins ofPrattville, Ala.
