The Rev. Lee Ester Ellison
Services for the Rev. Lee Ester Ellison of Brookhaven are 11a.m. Thursday at Hopewell M.B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m. with a family hourfrom 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Rev. Ellison, 75, died June 4, 2005, at his residence. Hewas born in Lincoln County on Jan. 18, 1930, to the late Edgar LeeEllison and Myrtis Warren Ellison.
He was retired. He was a member of Hopewell M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Jessica MaeEllison; son, Johnny Lee Ellison; and sister Mary NellCrawford.
Survivors are his son, Lawrence Smith of Jackson; daughter, MaeJoyce Smith of Brookhaven; brother, Willie B. Ellison of Gulfport;sister, Willie Mae Perraquez of Dallas; eight grandchildren; fourgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a specialcompanion, Linda May of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces, nephewsand other relatives and friends.
Laura M. Murray
Services for Laura M. Murray of McCall Creek are 11 a.m.Wednesday at Concord Baptist Church in Franklin County with burialin the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home andWednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Murray, 89, died June 5, 2005, at Haven Hall Nursing Home.She was born in Franklin County on Aug. 30, 1915, to the lateHarvey Nettles and Alma Nix Nettles.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Concord BaptistChurch.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Ike Murray;three brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
Survivors are her sons, Gordon Murray of McCall Creek andMorrelle Murray of Springfield, Mo.; daughter, Charlotte Murray ofBaton Rouge, La.; five grandchildren; and sevengreat-grandchildren.
Robert W. ‘Bob’ Scott
Services for Robert W. “Bob” Scott of Meadville’s PleasantValley community are 3 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Valley Churchwith burial in the church cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at thechurch.
Mr. Scott, 61, died June 6, 2005, at his residence. He was bornin Franklin County on Aug. 22, 1943, to the late Robert Scott andEvelyn Waller Scott.
He was a salesman and singer. He was a member of Pleasant ValleyChurch.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Joan Whitehead Scott; sons, Darby Scottand Tyler Scott; daughter, Jessica Curtis, all of the PleasantValley community; brother, Earnest Ray Scott of McComb; and fivegrandchildren.
