Audrey Pauline Thames Cain
Services for Audrey Pauline Thames Cain, of Brookhaven, are 10a.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service withburial in Easthaven Cemetery. The Revs. Allen King and Mike Evanswill officiate.
Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Cain, 90, died Jan. 16, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on Aug. 30, 1918, to Walter S. Thames andDottie Ward Thames.
She worked for 23 years as a nurse technician at King’sDaughters Medical Center and volunteered at Brookhaven’s FoodPantry and meals on wheels in her retirement years. She was amember of Jackson Street United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Hiram GordonCain Jr.; her great-grandson, Hunter L. Davis; her sisters, GussieNorton, Jessie Nettles, Ethel Boyd, Nell Case, Helen Eady, EulyceEady and Madge Thames; and her brothers, John Thames, Ray Thames,Ward Thames and Dave Thames.
Survivors are her sons, Walter L. Cain, of Addis, La., and JohnP. Cain and wife, Bonnie, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Patricia A.Fournet, of Addis, La., Alice F. Gill and husband, Robert L., ofBrookhaven, and Jennifer E. Davis and husband, Robert L., ofColumbia, S.C.; her sisters, Dottie R. Hill, of Monticello, andBetty F. Jones, of Nashville, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 20great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
William Earl Martin
Memorial services for William Earl Martin, of McCall Creek, are10:30 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at McCall Creek Baptist Church.Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Martin, 76, died Jan. 16, 2009, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in Franklin County on Aug. 25,1932, to Christopher Columbus Martin and Mary Elizabeth BurrisMartin.
He was retired from International Paper Company. He was a memberof McCall Creek Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, LeroyMartin.
Survivors are his son, Donnie Martin, of Pearl; his daughter,Delinda Martin, of Metairie, La.; two grandchildren; and threegreat-grandchildren.
Janice F. Smith
Services for Janice F. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Monday,Jan. 19, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel on Natchez Drive withburial in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Smith, 71, died Jan. 17, 2009, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Brookhaven on Oct. 26, 1937, to WilliamAsher Agin and Camille Forrest Agin.
She was a retired machine operator for Hartley Gove & Sons.She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, TrulyEdwin Smith.
Survivors are her daughter, Sharon Maxwell, of Brookhaven; hergrandchildren, Tate Maxwell and wife, Hailey, of Wesson, and TaraMaxwell, of Brookhaven; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law,Harold and Murlyn Smith, of Brookhaven; her brother-in-law andsister-in-law, Robert and Elaine Smith, of Brookhaven; hergreat-grandchild, Brooklynn Maxwell, of Wesson; her stepbrother,Danny May, of Grand Point, Texas; and two grandchildren.
