Services for Jane Smith Covington, of Clinton, are 1 p.m.Monday, Dec. 12 at Lakewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Covington, 82, died Dec. 8, 2005, at her residence.

She is a University of Mississippi graduate where she receivedher Bachelor of Science degree. While at Ole Miss, she was activewith the Delta Gamma Sorority. She loved to travel and cook in heryounger days. She was an active member of the Jackson Chapter ofthe Chevron Retiree Club. She enjoyed spending time with friendsand family, especially her granddaughters.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Homer C. Covington.

Survivors are her sons, Tom Covington, of Jefferson, La., SteveCovington and his wife Stephanie, of Gulfport, and Scott Covington,of Madison; her granddaughters, Sara Covington and ShellieCovington, both of Gulfport; and her brother, Steven Smith, ofBrookhaven.
