Graveside services for Nathaniel Byrd of Brookhaven are 3 p.m.Tuesday, May 13, at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday, May 13, from 1-2 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Byrd, 84, died May 6, 2003, at his residence. He was born inLincoln County on Sept. 16, 1918, to Tim and Melvina Byrd.

He was retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Babe Dixon Byrd;brother, James Byrd; and sisters, Ethel Byrd Allen, Roseanne Byrd,Arnette Kelly, L.C. Byrd and Cassie Byrd.

Survivors are his son, M.L. Byrd; daughter, Alberta Byrd;sister, Teenocie Byrd of Oakland, all of Oakland, Calif.; and manynieces, nephews and other relatives.
