Enoch H. McCall

Funeral services for Enoch H. McCall of Collins were 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, at Wade Funeral Home in Collins. Mr. McCall, 85, passed away from this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins. The Rev. Rudolph Sims officiated. Jamie Baggett, Jay Baggett and Marcy Brown provided the musical service. Interment was in the Collins City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wiley Dan Nicholson, Danny Young, Bruce McCall, Jeffery Baggett, Glenn Madden and Jay Baggett. Serving as honorary pallbearers were members of the Ora Baptist Church Brotherhood and Ray Deshields.

Mr. McCall was born Oct. 11, 1927 in McCall Creek in Lawrence County to Felix McCall and Helen Miller McCall. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea, and was a retired businessman and farmer. He was a member of the Okatoma Cruisers Car Club and the Covington County Livestock Association. Mr. McCall was a member of Ora Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; three brothers, Nolan McCall, Joe McCall and Claude McCall; and one sister, Virginia McCall Holland.

Mr. McCall is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sue Young McCall of Collins; two daughters, Debbie Baggett and husband, Jimmie, of Collins and Rhonda Purvis and husband, Stoney, of Collins; one brother, Dan McCall of Natchez; one sister, Peggy McCall Allen of Brookhaven: six grandchildren, Jay Baggett, Jamie Baggett Kiker, Pebbles Purvis, Toni Brooke Purvis Carter, Tammy Baggett Madden and Jeffery Baggett; six great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jackson Baggett, Taylor and Tatum Madden, and Wilson and Erin Lott; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
