Funeral services for Elizabeth Watkins Tobias of Summit are 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, at Chisholm Mission Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Pastor Ira McGillberry will officiate. Peoples Undertaking in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tobias, 87, died April 26, 2013 at McComb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. She was born in Lincoln County on Aug. 14, 1925 to John Watkins and Lena Wise Watkins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John Lawrence Tobias; one daughter; one son; two grandsons; two sisters; and three brothers.

Survivors are her six daughters, Gloria Cameron, Delorise McEwen, Debra Black and Cassandra Johnson, all of Summit, Helen Martin, of Houston, and Barbara Ann Tobias, of Chicago; five sons, J.L. Tobias, Melvin Tobias, Donald Tobias, Kenneth Tobias and Keith Tobias, all of Summit; 23 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters; four brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
