Graveside services for Hugh P. “Governor” White of Natchez are10 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation is today from 6-8 p.m., at Laird Funeral Home UnionStreet Chapel.

Mr. White, 81, died April 20, 2003, at his residence.

He was retired from Armstrong Tire Company after 39 years ofservice. He was a World War II veteran.

Preceding him in death was his wife, Dianne Nolan White.

Survivors are his daughter, Tammy Buckles of Natchez; his sons,Preston L. White of Brookhaven, and Herbert L. White ofHattiesburg; his sisters, Louise Butler of Sylacauga, Ala., and OraMae Scroggins of San Diego, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
