Brookhaven Academy recognizes athletes

WESSON – Brookhaven Academy held its annual athletic banquet atthe Dr.Billy Thames Center on the Copiah-Lincoln Community Collegecampus Monday night. Awards in baseball, slowpitch softball andtennis will be announced at a later date, after the playoffs in allthree sports.
Selected as Most Valuable Players in other sports were JakeSessums, football; Amber Beeson, fastpitch softball; LindsayAltman, girls basketball; Turner Havard, boys basketball, and CraigSmith, golf.
Senior Katie Newman received the new Miss Basketball Award.
