The Brookhaven Panthers defeated Terry’s Bulldogs 4-1 Tuesday ina varsity tennis match on the City Courts. The Panthers won fourmatches in straight sets, led by Emily Boyd in girls singles, MasonDixon in boys singles, Ann Kirk Jacobs and Mary Gwen Lynch in girldoubles and Paul Green and Rachel Montalvo in mixed doubles.

Brookhaven improved its record to 8-3.

The Panthers, coached by David Misner, resume play Thursday,hosting McComb at 4 p.m. on the Brookhaven City Courts.

The Division 6-4A Tournament starts April 16, at the ByramCourthouse. Terry is the host team.
