Services for Horace “Barney” Magee, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m.Wednesday, April 29, at Mary Temple Church of God in Christ inBrookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at thechurch.
Mr. Magee, 68, died April 21, 2009, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He was born in Sontag onJan. 31, 1941, to Willie Magee and Queen Ester Magee.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, O’Nell HookerMagee; his two brothers, Leroy Lenoir and Willie B. Magee.
Survivors are a sister, Lucille Grace Brown, of Bogalusa, La.; abrother, Lonnie L.W. Lenoir and wife, Virginia; an adopted brother,John Lenoir, of Brookhaven; his five nephews, Charles Lenoir andwife, Kathleen, of Brookhaven, Lonnie Lenoir Jr. and wife, Arlene,of Vicksburg, Joseph Jirod Brown and wife, Jeanet, of Bogalusa,Jeffrey Charles Brown, of Slidell, La., and Barry Wesley Morgan, ofJackson; his four nieces, Charleen Hackett and husband, Jessie,Sherry Brown and husband, Charles, Pamela Brown, Kelly Gatlin andhusband, Damian, of Brookhaven; and a very special aunt, AliceMaxwell, of Okalahoma; and a host of other loving relatives andfriends.
