Natchez clips Nationals; faces Americans tonight

The unbeaten Natchez All-Stars eliminated the BrookhavenNationals 6-3 Sunday afternoon in the North Subdistrict Six DixieYouth Baseball Major League Tournament at Keystone Field.
In tonight’s game, the Brookhaven Americans entertain Natchez.beginning at 6 p.m. The Americans, with one loss, must defeatNatchez twice tonight to win the tourney.
Daniel Guedon struck out 5 batters and allowed no walks for thewin. Cody White fanned 10 batters and walked 2 in the loss.
After trailing Natchez 2-1 in the first inning, the Nationalsscored a run to tie it up 2-2 in the top of the second. Natchezcame back, scoring two runs in the third (on a wild pitch) and twomore in the fourth for a 6-2 lead. The Nationals added one run inthe top of the fifth to cut the deficit to three runs.
Powering the Nationals with 2 singles apiece were Tyler Cokerand Dillon Newell. Jake Shelby, Mitch Case and White singled.
Natchez got a 2-run home run from Tyler Morrison. Shilo Atkinsdrilled 2 singles. Casey Calcote and Guedon singled.
