Funeral services for Jerry William Dunaway of Arlington are 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, at Thompson Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Dr. David Millican will officiate. Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 1 until 3 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Dunaway, 78, died May 2, 2013 at his home. He was born in Pike County on Sept. 14, 1934 to Wilburn and Juanita Dunaway.

He was a retired oilfield sales representative and a U.S. Marine Corp veteran. Mr. Dunaway was a member of Thompson Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife of 59 years, Bobbie Wells Dunaway, of Arlington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Margaret Dunaway, of Zolfo Springs, Fla., and Scott and Janet Dunaway, of Arlington; one sister, Linda Harvey, of Tylertown; and four grandchildren, Summer Dunaway, Shannan Dunaway, Brady Dunaway and Laura Leigh Dunaway.

Pallbearers will be Brady Dunaway, Jason Edwards, Josh Andrews, Brad Wells, Todd Harvey and Jeremy Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Nunnery, Billy Parsons, Ray Andrews and Marty Cornwell.

The family requests memorials be sent to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, 2500 North State St., Jackson, MS 39216.
