Graveside services for Shirley Mae Smith, of Brookhaven, will beheld at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fulton.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on Natchez Drive with prayer services at 7 p.m.
Mrs. Smith, 70, died July 22, 2009, at her residence. She wasborn in Treemont on Nov. 24, 1938, to Taft Hamner and Linnie HolmesHamner.
She was owner/operator of Crossroads Quick Mart for 14 years.She was of Baptist faith.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors are a son, Ronny Spencer and wife, Dianne, ofBrookhaven’s Loyd Star community; her sisters, Dorothy Holland, ofChicago, Ill., Rebecca McFadden, of Hamilton, Ala., and JoyceRoberson, of Fulton; a brother, Richard Hamner, of Hamilton; hertwo grandchildren, Julie McKee and husband, Brian, and JustinSpencer and wife, Anabel; her three great-grandchildren, Cohen andTaylor Grace McKee and Phillip Ross Spencer; astep-great-granddaughter, Hannah McKee; a number ofgreat-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, HelenSmith.
