Mitchell Earls

Services for Mitchell Earls of Wesson were 2 p.m. Monday, Jan 3at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Zion HillCemetery.

Mr. Earls, 52, died Jan. 1, 2005, at his residence. He was bornin Copiah County on May 17, 1952, to Lee Virgil Earls andMargarette Furlow Earls.

He was retired from employment in maintenance at the CountryJunction Truck Stop. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a brother, A.R.”Randolph” Earls Sr.

Survivors are his sisters, Donnis Renfroe and Irene Polk, bothof Brookhaven, Janice Inabnet of Hazlehurst, and Ina Taylor ofKeithville, La.; his brothers, Lee Earls Sr. of Silver Creek,George Earls, Ronnie Earls and Jerry Earls Sr., all of Wesson; anda host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Versie Markham

Services for Versie Markham of Brookhaven are 2 p.m. Thursday,Jan. 6 at St. James M.B. Church with burial in Galilee ChurchCemetery in Caseyville.

Visitation is today from noon until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Markham, 77, died Jan. 1, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Caseyville on Aug. 1, 1927, to VirgilMarkham and Christine Markham.

He was a retired construction worker after 34 years of servicein Inglewood, Calif. He was a member of the Local Union 300 of theAFL-CIO. He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War.Mr. Markham was a member of St. James M.B. Church were he served asa member of the board of trustees.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his sister, Jeanette Coleman of Brookhaven; hisbrothers, Charles Markham and his wife, Clementine, of Springfield,Mass.; five nephews; four nieces; and many other relatives.
