Services for Terry Twana Crockett of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Wednesday, May 26, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 6 p.m., at WilliamsMortuary.

Ms. Crockett, 31, died May 21, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Hinds County on April 14, 1973, to Frank Crockett and RubyNell Bass Crockett.

She was a 1992 graduate of Brookhaven High School.

Preceding her in death was her mother.

Survivors are her father, Frank Crockett of Milwaukee, Wis.; hersisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne Smith, Frankie and Jerry Kelly,Ruby L. and Victor Mackabee, Mattie and George Hudson, DeniseCrockett, and Phelisia and Curtis Jackson, all of Brookhaven, andJoyce and Leroy Wright of Jackson; her brother, Kenneth Earl Bassof Brookhaven; her special friend, Daryl Ford of Jackson; and ahost of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Peggy Ruth Newell Rutland

Services for Peggy Ruth Newell Rutland of Monticello are 11a.m., Tuesday, May 25, at Forest Grove Methodist Protestant Churchwith burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m., at Wilson Funeral Home, andTuesday from 9-11 a.m., at the church.

Mrs. Rutland, 64, died May 22, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on April 19, 1940, to Russell E. Newell andMargurite Walker Newell.

She was a secretary for the child support division of LincolnCounty Department of Human Services. She was a member of ForestGrove Methodist Protestant Church, where she was a Sunday schoolteacher and a nursery worker.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, Carl S. Rutland; her daughter andson-in-law, Allison R. Platt and husband Kenny of Monticello; hersons and daughter-in-law, Keith S. Rutland, and Tommy E. Rutlandand wife Lesa, all of Monticello; her sister and brother-in-law,Earline and Aubrey Allen of Brookhaven; her brother andsister-in-law, Jerome and Carolyn Newell of Monticello; herstepmother, Wessie W. Newell of Brookhaven; her granddaughters,Deanna Platt, Alexis Platt and Amanda Rutland, all of Monticello;her grandsons, Will Rutland and Caleb Rutland, both of Monticello;and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services for Edgar W. Smith of Bude are 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 25,at Eddiceton Baptist Church with burial in Providence BaptistChurch in Franklin County. Services will be conducted by the Rev.Mike Morris.

Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m., at Franklin Funeral Home,and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Eddiceton BaptistChurch.

Mr. Smith, 47, died May 23, 2004, at his sister’s residence inBude. He was born in Albuquerque, N.M., on Oct. 2, 1956, to AndrewSmith and Pearl Mitchell Smith.

He worked in the maintenance department at Franklin TimberCompany in Bude.

Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother.

Survivors are his sisters, Paula Granger of Vidor, Texas, ElevynHodges of Crystal Springs, and Julia Beard of Bude; four nephews;one niece; and a great-niece.

Pallbearers will be Terry Hammack, Tony Raspberry, Brad Brocato,Richard Thornhill, Gary Jones and Ronnie Wooten. Honorarypallbearers will be Eddie Carter and Les Johnson.

Rosa Lee Hart Wallace

Services for Rosa Lee Hart Wallace of Brookhaven, formerly ofBogue Chitto, were 11 a.m., Monday, May 24, at Bethel BaptistChurch of Bogue Chitto with burial in the church cemetery.Brookhaven Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wallace, 89, died May 21, 2004, at Silver Cross NursingHome. She was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 26, 1914, to HarrisonHart and Clara Wallace Hart.

She was retired from Stahl Urban Manufacturing Company. She wasa longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church of Bogue Chitto, whereshe served in various capacities of the church including songleader for many years. In years past, she was instrumental inorganizing the annual Wallace Family Reunion honoring hergrandparents, the late Elisha and Malissia Wallace. She was thefirst of their 101 grandchildren. She was a 1933 graduate of BogueChitto High School.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WilliamErnest Wallace; a sister, Elsie Nettles; and her brothers, HarleyHart, Hoyte Hart, Herman Hart, Wallace Hart and Hugh Hart.

Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and RonaldDurr of Brookhaven; her son and daughter-in-law, Milton and PatsyWallace of Brookhaven; her sisters, Lottie B. Smith of BogueChitto, Jenny Ford of McComb, and Peggy Gardner of Oklahoma City,Okla.; her granddaughters, Nannette W. Clark of Brookhaven, ReneeW. Bilbo of Columbia, and Rhonda D. Johnson of Bogue Chitto; hergreat-grandchildren, Nathan Wallace Bilbo, Lydia Kate Bilbo, OliviaClaire Clark and Anna Brooke Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews,cousins and other relatives.
