Services for John D. Clark of Union Church are 3 p.m., Friday,April 19, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from noon until 7 p.m. with the familyhour from 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Clark, 70, died April 11, 2002, at Baptist Medical Center.He was born in Union Church on April 30, 1931, to Riley Clark andNarciss Clark.
He was retired with 33 years service with General Motors inFlint, Mich. He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He hadserved as a deacon at True Light Baptist Church in Flint. He was amember of the Masonic Lodge in Flint.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, Rufus,Archie, Thomas, Joe Lewis, and Jessie Clark; and his sisters, AddieSpiller and Clara Campbell.
Survivors are his sons, Frederick Clark, David Clark, DarylClark, and Jerry Clark, all of Flint; his daughter, Pauline Clarkof Flint; his brothers, Frank Clark, Daniel Clark and NathanielClark, all of Union Church, Henry Lee Lowe of Jackson, and C. W.McDaniel, R. J. Clark, and Leroy Smith Sr., all of Flint; hissisters, Eudie Bell Bledsoe of Brookhaven, Betty Jean Green ofHattiesburg, Janie Phillips of Syracuse, N.Y., and Gladys Winfieldof Tucson, Ariz.; his stepsons, Michael Smith and Byron Smith, bothof Flint; his stepdaughters, Voleria Burkette, Marion Smith,Michele Watson, and Dianna Smith, all of Flint; his fosterchildren, Nikkie Smith and Barbara Smith, both of Flint; and sixgrandchildren.
