William Lloyd Walker, 73, of Brookhaven,died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, at Southwest Mississippi RegionalMedical Center in McComb.

    Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011,at the chapel of Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive withburial in the Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church Cemetery.

    Visitation was Saturday from 5 until 8 p.m. at  the funeral home.

    Mr. Walker was born on Feb. 14, 1938, in Lincoln County to Clydeand Lucille Allgood Walker.

    He was a member of Heuck’s Retreat Baptist Church and a Mason.

He had worked offshore as an oilfieldmechanic and was an Army veteran.

    Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife, Jerelene SmithWalker; his parents, Clyde and Lucille Allgood Walker; and hissister, Betty Jo Walker.

    Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Jim and TeresaWalker, of Brookhaven; his brother and sister-in-law, Alton”Bookie” and Ernestine Walker, of Brookhaven; his sister andbrother-in-law, Linda and Mel Iasigi, of Bookhaven; threegrandchildren, Austin, Jessalyn and Emily Walker, all ofBrookhaven; and his special niece, Haley Terrell.
