Florene Haywood
Services for Florene Haywood of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Thursday,Aug. 19, at St. Paul M.B. Church in Brookhaven with burial in RoseHill Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from noon until 5 p.m. at R.E. TylerFuneral Home.
Mrs. Haywood, 87, died Aug. 16, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Brookhaven on June 14, 1917, to Robert Shannon Patton andIshmael Jackson Patton.
She was a former nurses aide for St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago,Ill. She also performed clerical work for Spiegel in Chicago. Shewas a member of St. Paul M.B. Church where she was also a member ofthe Motherboard.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HollyHaywood Jr.; her brother, Robert E. Patton; and her sister, LenoraIshmael Patton.
Survivors are her niece, Glynell Wright and her grand niece,Julia Parker, both of Brookhaven.
Claude Russell “Rusty” Stubbs
Services for Claude Russell “Rusty” Stubbs of Magnolia are 2p.m., Thursday, Aug. 19, at Hartman Funeral Home of McComb withburial in Pike Memorial Gardens in McComb. Dr. Mac Amis willofficiate.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m.until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Stubbs, 18, died Aug. 15, 2004, from injuries sustained in amotorcycle accident on Hwy 48 in Magnolia. He was born in McComb onSept. 6, 1985, to James Michael “Mike” Stubbs of McComb and ValerieWarren of Brookhaven.
He attended South Pike High School in Magnolia and graduatedfrom Bogue Chitto High School. He loved spending time with his dadriding Harleys and shooting pool. He loved the outdoors, huntingand fishing.
Preceding him in death were his father; his grandmother, HelenM. Stubbs; and a niece, Kelsey Lynn Avants.
Survivors are his mother; his grandparents, Claude and Mary Huxof Bogue Chitto; his brothers, Jason Avants and his wife, Kathi,Nathan Avants and his wife, Crystal, of Bogue Chitto; his nephew,Caleb Avants; and a very special friend, Rachael Conerly ofMagnolia.
Pallbearers will be B.J. Seago, Lowell Castilaw, Bill McDavid,Daniel Joyce, Bruce Ray and David Wilson.

Mr. Stubbs, 48, died Aug. 15, 2004, from injuries sustained in amotorcycle accident on Hwy 48 in Magnolia. He was born in Jacksonon Aug. 29, 1955, to James Russell Stubbs and Helen McCafferyStubbs.
He was a truck driver for Sanderson Farms for seven years. Hewas an avid Harley-Davidson Motorcycle rider and loved shootingpool.
Preceding him in death were his mother; his grandparents, Mr.and Mrs. Fayette Stubbs and Mr. and Mrs. Freddie McCaffery. Hisson, Claude Russell “Rusty” Stubbs also died from injuries from themotorcycle accident.
Survivors are his father; his fiance, Alida Lott of Magnolia;his step mother, Mary Stubbs of McComb; his sister, Joyce Hall ofDuvall, Wash.; his brother, Jerry Russell Stubbs and his wife,Gloria, of McComb; his nieces, Amber Magee and her husband, Cliff,Mandy Stubbs Kessler and her husband, Ron, Jennifer McGeary and herhusband, Shane, and Julie Hall; his nephews, James Hall, Josh Halland Chris Cutrer.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Seago, Mike Freeman, John Ravencraft,Scott Brown, Loyd McCaffery, Mike Burnett, Jeff Burnett and TonyBurnett.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Burris, B.B. Thibideaux, RustyMoak, Ricky Nobles, Billy Walshaw, Victor Ryal and other employeesof the Sanderson Farms Transportation Department, McComb production- The Feed Mill.
