WESSON — Copiah-Lincoln Community College will hold anAll-Skills Fastpitch Softball Camp June 11-13 for players in grades1-6 from 9 a.m. – noon and grades 7-12 from 1-4 p.m. Campers willcover all aspects of the game of softball including fundamentals,mechanics, skills and drills for offense and defense. Players fromthe beginner to the advanced levels will benefit form theinstruction and applications provided.

Players may register on Monday, June 11, from 8-9 a.m. (grades1-6) and 12-1 p.m. (grades 7-12) at Lady Wolves Softball Field onthe Wesson Campus. Pre-registration is preferred for schedulingpurposes, but not required. Cost for the camp is $70 and includes acamp T-shirt, limited insurance and drinks. Participants shouldbring their cleats, glove, bat (optional); catchers should bringtheir catching gear.

Camp director is Lady Wolves Head Softball Coach Allen Kent.Kent, in his fifth year at the helm, has led Co-Lin to a thirdplace finish in the 2006 NJCAA National Tournament, 2006 MACJCState Championship, and NJCAA Region 23 Championship. The LadyWolves have been ranked in the Top 15 in the NJCAA polls the pastfive seasons. Kent is a former Co-Lin baseball player and has beeninvolved in baseball/softball for 31 years.

Co-camp director will be Co-Lin assistant softball coach JohnnyWilliams. Williams has been a long time assistant for Co-Linsoftball and served as head coach for the 2001-2002 season. Othercamp instructors will include area high school coaches along withcurrent and former Co-Lin players.
