Memorial services for David Eugene Roberson II, of

Chicago, are 11 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at the Willie Mae TylerMemorial Chapel in Brookhaven with burial in the Carver HeightsCemetery. Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roberson, 45, died April 2, 2011, at his residence. He was bornin Chicago on Nov. 28, 1965.

He was a graduate of Luther High School South in Chicago, attendedWestern Illinois University and later Alcorn State University. Hewas retired from the U.S. Air Force, and later employed as theResearch Safety Coordinator at Jesse Brown V.A. Medical Center inChicago. He was a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church inChicago.

Survivors are his mother, Angeline Smith-Roberson of Brookhaven;his father, David Eugene Roberson of Chicago; his wife, DeniseRoberson of San Antonio, Tex.; and his daughters Elease and LaurenRoberson of San Antonio.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his children’scollege fund.
