Woman with local ties killed in Wis.

A Brookhaven family is coping with the death of a loved one whowas found dead after being bound and gagged in her Milwaukee homethis week.
The Rev. A.C. Herring, pastor of Holy Trinity Church, said hissister the Rev. Anne Gordon, 75, was killed in the incident thatauthorities are investigating as a homicide. He was unsure whethershe died Thursday or earlier.
“We got the news on yesterday,” Herring said Friday morning.
Herring said Gordon, pastor of St. Anne Cathedral, was foundbound in her home and a rug had been placed over her head. Her carhad been stolen.
How long Gordon had been tied up, possibly 12 to 24 hours, andher cause of death were not immediately known, he said.
“We don’t have the total information yet,” Herring said.
Herring said authorities are considering the case a murder.
“I think they have someone in custody already,” Herringsaid.
Herring said he and other local family members planned to travelto Milwaukee for the funeral. Arrangements were incomplete Fridaymorning.
“I solicit everyone’s prayers at this time of bereavement,”Herring said.
