Dean Leamer

Graveside services for Dean Leamer, of Brookhaven, were 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Natchez National Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello was in charge of arrangements.

     Mr. Leamer, 82, died Oct. 8, 2012, at Lawrence County Nursing Center. He was born on May 5, 1930, to Clay S. and Ethel Myers Leamer.

     He served in the U.S. Army as a corporal during the Korean War from 1948-1952. He worked as a heavy equipment mechanic by trade.

     Preceding him in death were his parents.

     Survivors are his wife of 13 years, Peggy Bardwell Leamer; children, Pamela Leamer, Cynthia McFatter, William “Rusty” Leamer, James “Tommy” Leamer and Deanna Vickery; adopted children, Johnnie Gail and Roy Don Whitehead; stepchildren, John Cain, Charles Cain and Billie Jean Kleinsmith; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; special buddy, Timothy Kleinsmith; and special friend, Dr. Joe Ward.
