Two Lincoln County teenagers were killed Saturday night in aone-car accident on New Sight Road, Lincoln County Coroner ClayMcMorris said.

Hunter Rester and Jacob Dunn, both 15, died in the accident thathappened around 9:30 p.m. Saturday. The boys were traveling east onNew Sight Road in a 1994 Mitsubishi.

Both Rester and Dunn were sophomores at Brookhaven HighSchool.

“They apparently lost control of the car in a curve and hit atree,” McMorris said.

McMorris said the Brookhaven Fire Department’s Jaws of Life wereneeded at the scene. Both teens were pronounced dead at the sceneat 9:45 p.m., McMorris said.

Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangementsfor both Rester and Dunn.

Due to uncertainty over the weather, services for Rester arepending. Services for Dunn are tentatively scheduled for Thursday,with visitation Wednesday, McMorris said.
