Services for Parthenia Jana “P.J.” Maxwell Dillon, of BogueChitto, are 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Norfield Bethel M.B.Church in Bogue Chitto with burial in New Zion-Norfield Cemetery inBogue Chitto.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mrs. Dillon, 47, died Oct. 6, 2008, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center in Jackson. She was born in Miami, Fla., on Oct. 24,1960, to Harvey Maxwell and Shirley Mae Falmer Maxwell.

She was a 1978 graduate of Marietta High School and aCopiah-Lincoln Community College graduate. Mrs. Dillon was a notaryand certified tax preparer. She served in the U.S. Army. She was amember of Norfield Bethel M.B. Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her grandparents; hergreat-grandparents, Julius and Dollie Falmer; and a son-in-law,Monte Davis.

Survivors are her husband, Earl Dillon, of Bogue Chitto; herdaughters, Earlnesheia Dillon, of Bogue Chitto, Latrice NicoleO’Neal and husband, Timothy, April Davis and Felicia Dillon, all ofSummit, and Lakietha Ebbs, of New Orleans; her sons, JohnathanDillon, of Bogue Chitto, LyVanda Carmichael and LyRance Maxwell,both of Marietta, Ga., James Dillon and wife, Saketha, of McComb,and Frederick Dillon and wife, Renata, of Escondido, Calif.; hersisters, Deborah Lowe and husband, James, Yolanda Wilson andhusband, Walter, Chris Grady and husband, Tony, all of Acworth,Ga., Terry Smith and husband, Leon, of Marietta, Bianca Grady, ofAtlanta, and Alicia Payton and husband, Tony, of Kennesaw, Ga.; herbrothers, Harvey Maxwell and wife, Stephanie, Anthony Maxwell andwife, Gwendolyn, all of Marietta, Shon Grady and wife, Pamela, ofKennesaw, and Marcus Grady and wife, Stacy, of Atlanta; amother-in-law, Daisy Fairman, of Bogue Chitto; her 23grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives andfriends.

Vera Ann Eunice Kinstley

Services for Vera Ann Eunice Kinstley, of Fayette, are 2 p.m.Friday, Oct. 10, at Spencer Funeral Home Chapel in Fayette withburial in McNair Cemetery in Fayette.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Kinstley, 73, died Oct. 6, 2008, at Natchez RegionalMedical Center. She was born in Adams County on May 11, 1935, toLeslie Holmes and Stella Clifford.

She was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, D.C.Kinstley; and three children.

Survivors are her children, Cindy Wingate, of Cleburen, Texas;Timothy R. McKnight, of Fayette, David Kinstley, of Oldenburg,Sandra Travis, of Brookhaven, Nita Zimmerman, of Fayette; her threebrothers, Robert Lee Holmes, Feliden Holmes and Floyd Holmes, allof Natchez; her eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Paul E. ‘Ted’ Rutland

Services for Paul E. “Ted” Rutland, of Monticello, were 11 a.m.Thursday, Oct. 9, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inProvidence Baptist Church Cemetery in Jayess.

Mr. Rutland, 80, died Oct. 7, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Jayess on June 15, 1928, to Walter Leon Rutland Sr. andEmma Mae Terry Rutland.

He was a retired pipeliner. He was a member of ProvidenceBaptist Church in Jayess.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary NellWallace Rutland; and a son, Carl Edward Rutland.

Survivors are a daughter-in-law, Vita Jewell Rutland, ofGeorgia, and his three grandchildren.

Hugh Tarver

Services for Hugh Tarver, of Wesson, are 11 a.m. Friday, Oct.10, at Clear Branch Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service.

Mr. Tarver, 87, died Oct. 8, 2008, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lincoln County onSept. 25, 1921, to John Tarver and Lerona Nations Tarver. The Rev.Wayne Moak will officiate.

He was a retired dairy farmer of 52 years. He owned Clear BranchJersey Farm with his son, Steve. He was a U.S. Army veteran, whoserved in World War II. He was a member of Clear Branch BaptistChurch where he was the oldest lifetime member. He served as adeacon for 52 years. He also served as a Sunday school teacher.

Survivors are his wife, Margie Fay Journeay Tarver; his son,Steve Hugh Tarver and wife, Weymouth, of Chattanooga, Tenn.; hisdaughters, Jane Smith and husband, Albert, of Brookhaven, and AnnLambert, of Wesson; his seven grandchildren, Ginger Walker andhusband, Justin, Sam Thames and wife, Mia, all of Brookhaven,Carrie Tarver Bergeron, of Wesson, Briley Smith and wife, Lisa, ofBrookhaven, Jim Tarver and wife, Kaylee, of Wesson, Megan Martinand husband, Landon, of Silver Creek, and Taylor Smith, ofBrookhaven; his eight great-grandchildren, Aubree Leigh Smith,Daniel Blaine Tarver, Timothy Bergeron, Katelyn Bergeron, PayneSmith, Lesley Smith, Rileigh Martin and Cameron Thames.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Clear BranchBaptist Church building fund.

William Ratcliff ‘Papa’ Westbrook Jr.

Services for William Ratcliff “Papa” Westbrook Jr., of BogueChitto, are 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Harrigill Funeral HomeChapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Westbrook, 90, died Oct. 7, 2008, at his residence. He wasborn in Louisiana on Feb. 10, 1918, to W.R. “Bill” Westbrook Sr.and Susie Kirkwood Westbrook.

He retired from Exxon as a crew foreman in Baton Rouge, La. Hewas a graduate of Baker High School in Baker, La. Mr. Westbrook wasa U.S. Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was alsoa Mason for more than 50 years. He raised chickens, pigs and goats.He was a member of First Baptist Church in Baker.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ida B.Lambert Westbrook; a sister, Eloise W. Williamson; and agrandchild, William Lester “Shad” Freeman.

Survivors are his son, Earnest “Butch” Westbrook and wife,Paula, of Slaughter, La.; his daughter, Mary S. Freeman andhusband, Archie, of Bogue Chitto; his seven grandchildren, Demetra”Dee Dee” Cothern and husband, Tracy, of Bogue Chitto, Margo Smithand husband, Billy, of Bogue Chitto, Monica Decker and CheresseMatthews, both of Louisiana; Tonya Deville and husband, Kurt, ofJena, La., Archie W.
