Services for Richard Charlie “R.C.” Campbell, of Brookhaven are11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Della Green M.B. Church with burial inCarver Heights Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Friday, with family hourfrom 7:30 until 8:30 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.
Mr. Campbell, 92, died Nov. 22, 2007, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. He was born in Brookhaven on May 10, 1915, toCharlie Campbell and Ida Bell Campbell.
He was retired and a member of Della Green M.B. Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, RichardCampbell; his granddaughter, Donna Ballentine; five brothers, RalphCampbell, Frank Campbell, Sam Campbell, Albert Campbell and LeviCampbell; four sisters, Tillie McGee, Estelle Burton, GoldieRowland and Hannah Green.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Campbell, ofBrookhaven; his three daughters, Annie P. Ashford and her husband,Hayward, of Chicago, Ill., Geraldine Bennett, of Los Angeles,Calif., and Connie Davis and her husband, Lamar, of Sontag; histhree sons, Jackie Campbell, Donald Campbell and his wife, Merlee,and Jimmie Campbell, all of Brookhaven; 13 grandchildren; 12great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and a host ofnieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
