Services for Willie Markham of Brookhaven are Wednesday, June 6,at Macedonia M. B. Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary.

Mr. Markham, 86, died May 31, 2001, at his residence. He wasborn in Lincoln County on March 28, 1915, to Lee Otha Markham andPinkie Henderson.

He was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Macedonia M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, MatleanMarkham; his second wife, Elizabeth Markham; his daughter, AngelaWhite; his brothers, Charlie Washington, H. D. Washington, andBooker T. Washington; and his sisters, Sadie Washington, Cora LeeWashington, and Missouri Washington.

Survivors are his sons, Maxie Lee Markham of Twenty Palm,Calif., Aljessie Markham of Compton, Calif., and Randy White,Michael White and Glenn White, all of Brookhaven; his daughter,Rosie Grimes of Chicago; his brother, Henry Washington of Chicago;his sisters, Mary White of Oakland, Calif., and Lenora Dickerson ofArlington, Texas; and 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and10 great-great-grandchildren.
