Services for Billy Mitchell Gillis, of Ridgeland, are 2 p.m.Sunday, July 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home’s Natchez Drive locationwith burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Mr. Gillis, 79, died July 5, 2007, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. He was born in Morton on April 29, 1928, to AaronE. Gillis and Bonnie Tolar Gillis.

He was retired from the Gillis Tool Company. He was a member ofFirst Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, BarbaraKern; and his brother, Aaron L. Gillis.

Survivors are his wife, Peggy Gillis, of Ridgeland; hisdaughter, Diane Vesa and husband Nick, of Madison; his brother,Jimmy Gillis, of Brookhaven; his sisters, Peggy Smith, ofBrookhaven, and Jackie Price, of McComb; his grandchildren, MickeyVesa and wife Telci, of Madison,and Angel Vance and husband Kevin,of Jackson; and two great-grandchildren, Nicholas Rigby Vance andMatthew Ruger Vance.
