Helen Knox

Ila Helen Bowie-Knox, 90, originally of McCool, passed away atWesley Highland Manor in Memphis on Sept. 2, 2007.
Helen is survived by her husband of 65 years, Kenneth Knox, ofMemphis. Mrs. Knox also leaves behind three daughters, James HelenCollins, Joy Guinn, her husband Gerald, and Jackie Patterson. Herfamily includes seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, fourgreat-great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Helen was born the fifth child of Charlie and Olivia Bowie inMcCool in 1917. She outlived her three brothers and two sisters.Helen enjoyed working as a beautician for 30 years, primarily inBrookhaven, where the family relocated after having lived in NewHampshire, Mr. Knox’s home, for several years. Many of hercustomers over the years were also happy to call her a friend. Shetouched hearts and made life better for everyone she met.
Helen was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and always puther family first. She loved traveling and being outside but she wasthe happiest when her family was all together.
We love you Nana and we will see you again.
Visitation was Monday, Sept. 3, from 5-7 p.m. at CulpepperFuneral Home in Kosciusko.
Services were held Sept. 4 at 1 p.m. at Bowie Chapel Church.Graveside services followed conducted by Culpepper FuneralHome.
Pallbearers were Jim Collins, Brian Guinn, James Schaffer, DeanPrewitt, Ben Hull and David Moss.
