Funeral services for Geneva P. Bardwell of Brookhaven are 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, at Union Hall Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Drive is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bardwell, 94, died May 13, 2013 at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

She enjoyed serving in her church, sewing, cooking and gardening.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Carroll S. Bardwell; parents, Barney and Katie Porter; sisters, Pearl Ford and Raybelle Lofton; and brothers, Paul Porter, Billy Porter and Lynwood Porter.

Survivors are her sons, Mark Bardwell and Glenn C. Bardwell, of Brookhaven; daughter, Vivian B. Cummings, and husband, Richard Gene, of Purvis; grandchildren, Stephanie Cummings, Ricky Cummings, and wife, Kristy, Ray Cummings, and wife, Amanda, Ryan Bardwell, and wife, Ashley, and Candice Bardwell; great-grandchildren, Carter, Camron, Noah, Joshua, Moses and Mercy Cummings, and Brayden Bardwell; sisters, Joann Worrell and Ellen Summers; and brother, Pat Porter.
