Services for Raymond J. Rodriguez, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, Oct. 23, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church inBrookhaven with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at Brookhaven FuneralHome on North Jackson Street. Rosary is at 4:30 p.m. Thursday atthe funeral home.
Mr. Rodriguez, 84, died Oct. 21, 2009, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas, onDec. 18, 1924, to Joseph Rodriguez and Editha Guidry Rodriguez.
He retired after 36 years as a petroleum engineer with Chevron.Mr. Rodriguez also served with the U.S. Air Force during World WarII. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Hewas a member Pi Epsilon Tau Professional Society for PetroleumEngineers and the Geological and Mining Society of AmericanUniversities.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Eva Rodriguez, of Brookhaven; a brother,Bo Rodriguez, of St. Paul, Minn.; his brothers-in-law, LeRoyRichardson and wife, JoAnn, of Brookhaven, and Ralph Richardson andwife, Linda, of Waynesboro; his sisters-in-law, Helen Segers, ofLeesburg, Va., and Ayleen Boyett, of Brookhaven; and several niecesand nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana State UniversityFoundation Scholarship Fund for the Petroleum Engineer Departmentin memory of Raymond Rodriguez, 3838 Westlake Drive, Baton Rouge,La., or a charity of choice.
