Beginning Sunday, syndicated columnist Dave Barry joins TheDAILY LEADER’s lineup. Barry’s humorous, yet oftenthought-provoking, brand of humor appears in hundreds of newspapersnationwide.

The Miami Herald writer is a Pulitzer Prize winner, taking thecommentary category in 1998.

Barry has written several books, both novels and compilations ofprevious columns. According to his syndicator’s Web site, his books”have been hailed by the critics as containing a tremendous amountof white space.”

The 1990s CBS television sitcom “Dave’s World” was based onBarry’ life, career and two of his books. Among other claims tofame, Barry says, is setting fire to a pair of underwear with aBarbie doll on national television.
