Services for Laura Zelle Weems of Forest are 10 a.m., Saturday,June 14, at Carr United Methodist Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-8 p.m., at Colonial Chapel FuneralHome.

Miss Weems died June 11, 2003, at her residence. She was born inSun to William Lafayette and Molly Thompson Weems.

She was a retired school teacher. She was a graduate of LakeHigh School, and attended Hinds Junior College and MSCW. She didher graduate work at the University of Missouri and George PeabodyCollege. She received her master’s degree from the University ofSouthern Mississippi. She taught at East Central Junior College for14 years and in Bay Springs for one and a half years. She taughtpsychology at Copiah-Lincoln Community College for 24 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and seven siblings.

Survivors are her sister, Bessie Lois Weems Wilkins ofTupelo.
