Services for Ruby L. Mercier Chisholm of McComb are 11 a.m.,Friday, Dec. 27, at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel with burial inMoak’s Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. untilservice time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chisholm, 78, died Dec. 23, 2002, at her residence. She wasborn in Roseland, La., on July 10, 1924, to Sedgie Willie Mulfordand Bessie McLeod Mulford Creel.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Carter’sCreek Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Frank C. Mercier Sr.; her daughters, Willie Mae Mercier, IreneKyzar, Rosemary Chisholm and Ruby Nell Mercier; and her sister,Mildred Heath.

Survivors are her husband, Charlie Chisholm of McComb; her sons,Frank C. Mercier Jr. and James L. Mercier, both of Brookhaven,Ralph L. Mercier of Pricedale, and Sedgie W. Mercier of BogueChitto; her daughters, Maudie L. Fortenberry and Rosalie Williams,both of Summit; her sister, Edna Dick of New Orleans; and 21grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephewsand other relatives.
