Services for Dovie Moncrief, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Monday,Feb. 6 at First United Methodist Church with burial in EasthavenCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at Harrigill FuneralHome.

Mrs. Moncrief, 90, died February 3, 2006, at Silver CrossNursing Home. She was born in Arcadia, La. on June 8, 1915, to JohnBailey and Mattie Bridges Bailey.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, HalbertW. Moncrief.

Survivors are her sons, Bailey Moncrief and his wife, Charlotte,of Clinton, and Loy Moncrief, of Jackson; her daughters, Ann M.Morris and her husband, Robert, of Brookhaven, and Melody M. Boydand her husband, Claude, of Florence; her seven grandchildren; andher eleven great-grandchildren.

Jerry Daniel Padgett Sr.

Services for Jerry Daniel Padgett Sr., of Monticello, are 4 p.m.today, Feb. 5 at Wilson Funeral Home. Graveside services are 3:30p.m. Monday at Weavers Cemetery in Brewton, Ala.

Mr. Padgett, 60, died Feb. 3, 2006, at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. He was born in Weldon, N.C. on August15, 1945, to William Henry Padgett and Dora Wells Padgett.

He worked for the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill for 38 years. Hewas a member of the Protestant faith. He was a veteran of the Navyduring Vietnam.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife Carrol Padgett, of Monticello; his son,Jerry Daniel Padgett Jr. and his wife, Megan, of Tifton, Ga.; hisdaughter, Kimberly Ann Carroll and her husband, Richard, ofMandeville, La.; his brother, Bobby Daniel Padgett, of Hampton,Va.; his half brothers, Larry Cobb and Ronnie Cobb, both ofChesapeck, Va.; and his grandchildren, Allison, Tiffany, Katie,Jerdan and Krysta.
