Funeral services for Robert Warren Stamps Sr., of Bogue Chitto,are 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at First United Methodist Churchin Brookhaven, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Brookhaven FuneralHome on North Jackson Street is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Avisitation will also be held at the church from 2 until 3 p.m.Saturday.
Mr. Stamps, 76, died April 28, 2011, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on July 17, 1934, to Robert Lee Stamps and LolaBert Boren Stamps.
He worked for 15 years at Stahl Urban Garment Factory where he wasan engineer and assistant plant manager. He later became owner ofRainbow Florist. He was a member of First United MethodistChurch.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, RobertaHudyma.
Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Shirley McCoy Allred Stamps ofBogue Chitto; his son, Robert Warren Stamps, Jr. of Bogue Chitto;his daughter, Sabrina Stamps McMillan of Brookhaven; hisgrandchildren, Rebecca Lee Mercier Jones and husband, Jason, ofHouston, Tex.; Rob Mercier, also of Houston; and Nicole McMillan ofBrookhaven; and his pets, Mattie and Honey.
